Those setting are OK if you are within the Shaw network. However, for outside networks (any free WiFi) those setting will not work.
To get your emails from everywhere use:
POP3: pop.shaw.ca
The SMTP settings (sent mail) are a bit more tricky. Shaw does not allowed access to SMTP from outside networks. Use instead the Gmail SMTP server.
Gmail ():
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - smtp.gmail.com
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Since it requires SMTP authorization:
username: use your Gmail account (e.g. yourname@gmail.com)
password: your Gmail password
